Battlestar Galactica Inspired Cocktail

Dish Network Deals shares this BSG inspired cocktail. Please drink responsibly.

New Earth
By Jo-Ann Rogan

You all thought Ambrosia was all that was served at Joe’s Bar aboard the Galactica. But that’s not the case. While on a top-secret mission, Lee Adama stumbled across a martini type drink that sparkled when held up to the light. He brought his old friend Joe a few cases of the drink onto the Battlestar to help his friend vary the selections at Lee’s favorite bar. We cannot tell you exactly where these libations came from, but it was Joe’s idea to mix them in these proportions over ice. The folks aboard the Battlestar flocked to the bar until the stockpile was gone. The taste and the sparkles in the glass mesmerized the crew, and became quite the hit. For at least an evening, they paid the Cylon no mind.

I am now able to share this recipe with you, and it can be duplicated very closely with spirits found on Earth.

Take a martini or cocktail glass and either chill it in the freezer for 15 minutes or fill the glass with ice and water as you make the drink.

In a tumbler full of ice pour:

2 ½ oz of vanilla flavored vodka
1oz Goldschlager schnapps

Shake vigorously till mixture is icy.

Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy.

Sit back and watch the sparkles before you drink. Joe thought the sparkles were a little of the view out his window of the ship captured in a glass.

As you sip ponder what you would do about the Cylon.

This cocktail recipe was diligently researched and concocted by Jo-Ann Rogan, the in-house bartender of Dish Network Deals.
